In context of the World Water Day 2022, the city of Sofia organised a two-day event as part of the roadshow series in Digital Water City. The event offered an online visit to the “unknown waters” of Sofia to show the importance of sewers in a city and how those are managed.

On 22 March, Sofiyska Voda JSC organised “The (In)visible Water Beneath Our Feet” to showcase the digital solutions Smart sewer cleaning system with HD camera and wireless communication and the Low-cost temperature sensors for real-time combined sewer overflows and flood monitoring. The two solutions are displayed on the videos below.

The second day of the event, multiple DWC digital solutions were presented online to the wider audience, such as the Augmented reality mobile application for groundwater visualisation or the Early warning system for bathing water quality.
